The Transport for London Lost Property website is here and the following is a summary of what to do if you have lost property in a London taxi. Opening hours at the lost property office may vary and you should check up to date information by visiting the London Lost Property Office via the above link.
London Taxi drivers will deposit lost property at a London Police Station. Your property will be forwarded to the Transport for London (TFL) Lost Property Office. Property can take up to 5 days to reach the Lost Property Office. Contact details for the Lost Property Office are: 200 Baker Street (near Baker Street underground station) London, NW1 5RZ. Phone: 0845 330 9882 between 08:30 - 16:00, Mondays to Fridays excluding bank holidays. You may also visit the lost property office Monday to Friday with the exception of bank holidays. At the time of writing the opening hours of the Lost Property Office were not published on the Transport for London Website so we advise that you phone for opening hours. You can also report your loss at a London Police Station who will forward details to the TFL Lost Property Office.
